As someone who is lucky enough to call Sedona, Arizona, my hometown, it can be difficult not to get homesick sometimes. When you grow up in such a unique place, you look for glimpses of it everywhere you go, often with little success. But since moving to Tennessee in August, I’ve been grateful to have a little piece of home right in my new backyard – Pink Jeep Adventure Tours.
Founded by Don Pratt in Sedona in 1960, Pink Jeep Tours have become known as a “must-do” experience and have expanded to Las Vegas, Branson and here in our very own Great Smoky Mountains. Every tour is jam-packed with entertainment. Whether you’re a tried and true outdoors person or a less daring homebody, Pink Jeep has different tour options where everyone has a good time getting to enjoy the fresh air. Pink Jeep has served more than 6 million guests on nearly 1 million tours nationwide since its inception and is dedicated to safety, excellent story-telling and unforgettable adventure.
Noah “Bud” Ogle’s family cabin
I was able to go on Pink Jeep’s Gatlinburg Loop tour a few weeks ago, and it was just like being on a Jeep back at home. On this tour, we got to look at some of Gatlinburg’s hidden gems, including the fresh mountain cascade of Cataract Falls and Bud Ogle’s Cabin. These sites allowed those of us on the tour a look at what life was like for the region’s earliest settlers more than a century ago.
Pink Jeep Tours are available throughout the year, and every experience is different. Guests are able to enjoy the beauty that every season in the Smokies has to offer. Watch the scenery go by from the comfort of a weather-proof vehicle as your guide does the driving! Too busy living in the moment to take a good photo? Your guide is also your built-in cameraman.
If you’d like a closer look at some of the sights, there are opportunities to hop out of the Jeep for an up-close experience. With wildlife abundant in our neck of the woods, you can encounter all kinds of critters from a safe distance.
And, be sure to ask about an off-roading opportunity at Pink Jeep Tour’s private Bear Track course.
The minimum age requirement for Smoky Mountain tours is 2 years old, and Pink Jeep provides car seats for children 2 to 4 years of age. Tours are kid-friendly and offer learning in a fun, adventurous way through the guides’ creative storytelling.
There is enough space and fun for the whole family to enjoy! Pink Jeep also accommodates group and special event bookings, including weddings, family reunions and student group events.
Located on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, Pink Jeep Adventure Tours are close to everything and easy to find.
