Dollywood's The Dolly Parton Experience to Open with Timed Entries

Pour yourself a cup of ambition and yawn and stretch and try to come to life, because The Dolly Parton Experience opens soon! On May 24, guests will be able to visit Dollywood’s eagerly anticipated new attraction, a multi-faceted journey through Dolly’s unparalleled career, her signature styles through the years and the importance of her family, friends and faith.

We’re also introducing a new way to experience this area of the park for a limited time during its opening week: timed entry ticketing. Guests can register for a timed entry ticket to visit The Dolly Parton Experience starting on May 14. You’ll need a timed entry ticket if you’re entering the area May 24 – June 2 before 5 p.m. -- after 5 p.m., no timed entry ticket is needed.

Timed entry tickets are complimentary and allow access to both Songteller and Behind the Seams. Songteller, housed in the former Chasing Rainbows Museum, traces Dolly’s roots from Sevier County to stages around the world. In Behind the Seams, it’s all about how she and her team created the iconic styles we know and love.

Timed entry tickets are not required to visit Dreamsong Theater, Precious Memories or Dolly’s Fan Shop. Dreamsong Theater is home to “Heidi Parton’s Kin & Friends,” a new show featuring Dolly’s niece, Heidi Parton, and a cast singing songs and sharing Parton family stories. Precious Memories honors the support Dolly received from her family and friends throughout her journey. And Dolly’s Fan Shop is the perfect place to find Dollywood-exclusive apparel, accessories and iconic keepsakes.

How to Register for a Timed Entry Ticket:

• Navigate to Dollywood.com/dolly-parton-experience.
• From there, you’ll be able to choose a date and a time slot.
  • Time slots are available for 30-minute increments starting at 10 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. After 5 p.m., you won’t need an entry ticket to enter the area!
  • Be sure to include the number of guests in your party. One member can register up to eight guests.
• If there is still capacity available on the day of your visit, you’ll be able to register for timed entry tickets via the Dollywood App or mobile browser or at any ticket window.
  • You may also register for a physical timed entry ticket at any ticket window.

How to Enter The Dolly Parton Experience with a Timed Entry Ticket:

• During the 30-minute window of time you selected, make your way to the entry of The Dolly Parton Experience adjacent to Jukebox Junction, near the Pines Theater.
  • This 30-minute window is for entry only. You may stay in the area as long as you’d like!
• Have your timed entry tickets ready, and a host will scan them as you enter the area.
• Enjoy your time at The Dolly Parton Experience!

If you are unable to register for a time slot, there is a standby line. You may also visit the area after 5 p.m. to enjoy The Dolly Parton Experience without a timed entry ticket.
