Church and Sunday Supper at Dollywood

If visiting Dollywood on the weekend is the best option for your family, consider going on a Sunday. Typically speaking, the crowds are smaller; and there’s something especially sweet about visiting on this day, because you have the opportunity to join a chapel service inside a theme park!

That’s right. If you thought that going to Dollywood on Sunday meant skipping church, think again! My family had a delightful visit that included some hymns, fellowship and some great country cooking.

You can walk through it whenever Dollywood is open.

Chapel service is held at 11:30 Sunday morning during most of the season. During the Smoky Mountain Christmas festival, the service is in the late afternoon. Always check the park schedule so you don’t miss it.

And one more note, while my family chose Front Porch Café during this visit, I also recommend Aunt Granny’s Restaurant or Granny Ogle’s Ham N Beans for more delicious Southern food options.
