Pigeon Forge, Tenn.-- Members of the Kratt Club, an unofficial fan club of the Kratt Brothers, will present Chris and Martin Kratt with a check for more than $7,000 on Saturday, July 11, at 11:15 a.m. at Dollywood to benefit Grizzly Gulch, the first wildlife preserve created by nationwide kid action through the Kratts’ charitable foundation, The Kratt Brothers Creature Hero Society.
“We are grateful to everyone who has donated to help protect this critical piece of wildlife habitat,” says Chris Kratt.
“It ensures a home for lots of animals that kids know and love, protecting our natural heritage for future generations,” adds Martin Kratt.
Grizzly Gulch is a wildlife preserve, a critical habitat for a number of endangered animals who live at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. In addition, the Kratt Club marks its 10th anniversary on July 11.
The check will be presented by more than 20 fan club members from various parts of the country, representing hundreds of members from all across North America.
The Kratt Brothers are appearing through Aug. 2 in the award-winning Dollywood show Creature Adventures Starring the Kratt Brothers during the park’s annual KidsFest celebration. The Kratt Brothers’ critically acclaimed tv shows, the Emmy Award-winning Zoboomafoo and the Parents’ Choice Gold Award-winning Kratts’ Creatures air on PBS nationwide. Their show on National Geographic, Kratt Brothers Be The Creature, is broadcast in 150 countries around the world.
The Kratt Brothers have raised more than $1 million towards saving Grizzly Gulch, a critical habitat for a wide variety of American creatures, some of whom are endangered. Approximately $40,000 is needed to complete the project, which the Kratts worked on with The Nature Conservancy, Old Navy, Gap Foundation, Dawn Dishwashing Liquid and families all across the United States.
