DOLLYWOOD AUDITIONS SET FOR JAN. 28-29 IN PIGEON FORGE
PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.—Dollywood will conduct auditions in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., this weekend. Open call auditions will take place on Saturday (Jan. 28) from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in DP’s Celebrity Theatre and musicians only on Sunday (Jan. 29) from 1-5 p.m. in Showstreet Palace Theatre.
The Pigeon Forge auditions are the last stop on a five-city auditions tour that visited Atlanta, Asheville, NC, Nashville, and Cincinnati.
“With two new shows—Dollywood’s Babes in Toyland and Dreamland Drive-In—set to debut in 2006, we are especially excited about this year’s auditions,” said Paul T. Couch, Dollywood Director of Entertainment. “Combined with our returning stage shows, Dollywood provides an ideal place for performers to showcase their talents.”
Dollywood is seeking singers, actors, specialty performers, instrumentalists, stage managers and technicians for its 2006 season (April 1-Dec. 30). Special “musician only” audition dates are intended to provide a more effective experience for musician candidates. However, musicians may audition on either day. Details about each category, specific audition requirements and locations are available by calling (865) 428-9553 or visiting

In addition to performance experience at competitive salaries, Dollywood offers an on-site medical center, a profit-sharing plan, employee pass exchange program with various attractions and businesses, Dollywood food and merchandise discounts, and a relocation package.
Dollywood offers seven live shows daily during its regular operating season (April-Oct.), and six live performances during the park’s annual Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration (Nov. 4-Dec. 30).
Among Dollywood’s performer alumni are recording artists Julie Roberts, Suzy Bogguss, Jessi Alexander and Mandy Barnett and actor Eric Martsolf of NBC’s Passions.
